Everhood 2, the Unconventional Action RPG (UARPG) sequel to one of 2021’s best-reviewed indie games with over 600,000 units sold, launches today on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch. Developer Foreign Gnomes released the original psychedelic journey of self-discovery exactly four years ago.

You will laugh. You may cry. You will almost certainly confront the abyss and see humanity in a new light. Dance between realities as a meddling soul sent on a quest to face off against carrot magicians, Joan of Arc, divine mushrooms, and a mysterious Mind Dragon hellbent on bringing existential ruin to not just this world but to every universe there could ever be.
Battle to the beat of more than 100 electrifying songs. Encounter unpredictable enemies with rhythmic attack patterns, dodge incoming assaults, and counterattack by harnessing color-coded energy that turns unbroken combos into offensive explosions.
Collect otherworldly weapons like the legendary pair of Moon Blades or teeth-chattering Skull Axe. Upgrade an animated armory alongside a menagerie of memorable characters — all relying on your actions to maintain the reality of their existence. Dig deep with flowery facsimiles of Carl Jung, Rasputin, and Terrance McKenna, among other colorful characters,

Discover the truth while navigating through the war-torn Vegetable Kingdom, futuristic branches of reality, the pocket dimension of an all-knowing entity, and other absurd worlds on the brink of disaster. Befriend the celestial Raven, guiding you through all of this, and work alongside an eclectic cast of companions to slay the mighty Mind Dragon threatening every dimension.
“If you played the first game, you think you might know what to expect here,” said Chris Nordgren, co-founder of Foreign Gnomes. “You are probably a better dancer in battle than most newcomers, but plenty of surprises lie in wait. There’s so much packed in this sequel, from Lucy the Green Slime’s rogue escapades to new combat mechanics — and a whole new crop of fighting tunes — something is bound to stick in your head and never come out. For that, we apologize, but also, you’re welcome.”
